We’re finally on our last year
No more high school
No more curfew
time to fill out to many applications,
just in case
looking for a first home
to call Your Own ,
The grown up feeling is setting in
No one really warns you how fast it comes
Or tells you that when you turn 18
you feel insignificantly 17
everyone else sees you differently
No one lets you know
all of the sudden you’re an “Adult”
while inside your still a little kid with
Grown Up choices to make

I know exactly how that feels. I'm 18 too and like my parents are just pushing me to make choices that I still don't even know. Your poem really shows that. Good job :)
ReplyDeleteI agree...I feel that way too even though I just turned 16.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with this 100%
